& DEFECT-FREE INSPECTION PROCESS"

Abstract
This
presentation briefly describes the IMPROVED FAGAN DEFECT-FREE PROCESS™
Within
the past 2 years, after intensive analysis of 120 client’s data, he has
expanded and enhanced the process into the Improved Fagan Defect-Free Process™.
It incorporates Formal Process Definition, and Continuous Process Improvement.
It
is calibrated to find even more defects, further shortening cycle time. It's
ROI of 6-13 : 1 has been measured by several clients [ 6 to 13 hours are saved
for every hour of total inspection effort].
The
metrics produced enable the progress of development starting with requirements
and continuing through the rest of the life-cycle on AGILE, upgrades, and
maintenance. It is reported to accelerate CMMI maturity and significantly reduce
costs
This
presentation is of interest to: Managers at all levels, Engineers, QA,
System Testers, Writers, Marketing, Users.
Biography
Michael
Fagan CEO of Michael Fagan Associates {website,} created the Fagan Inspections
and the Fagan Defect-Free Process™.
When
he was a product development manager at IBM, Michael created the Fagan
Inspection Process and successfully demonstrated it on his projects. He also
helped others implement it. For this work he received the largest
individual IBM Corporate Achievement Award.
He
was a professor of Computer Science at the University of Maryland.

& Discussion Groups: Our section supports both ASQ
sanctioned and informal study and or discussion groups. You just missed the Food
& Drug discussion group meeting on Sampling Plans and the Six Sigma discussion group
on Experimental Design. Contact Kim

on line demo by a Minitab statistician in April.
