Advertising Policy We offer advertising on our local website 24/7 with a brief description of your event and a web link to your website, contingent upon review an approval by the Executive board. We average 2 Million hits per year at our web site (8x our membership, 25,000 pages, 100,000 visitors, 2x growth per year). This is a very busy ASQ Section with several thousand Quality professionals in the San Diego area involved in the quality field.
Our local
membership numbers about 1025 and that is who we would be targeting in our
twice a month emailing. However our website is not as limited and we have had
inquiries and attendees from allover the Southwest and Southern California.

Job ads by ASQ members and or member companies are posted free of charge.
Job ads by non-members and those ads that help others benefit financially will be posted for a fee of $25 per post. Head hunters, temp agencies, web boards, etc. would fall into this category.

b. Review
Instructors, recruited and assigned by the Course Coordinator are responsible for the instructional content and methods used in each formal class meeting. An instructor may with the consent of the Course Coordinator, encourage development of instruction skills of other individuals by utilizing them as instructor's Aides. Guest speakers may also by used to supplement the content of the class. The Education Committee is responsible for the quality of instruction in the refresher courses. This consists of reviewing the course plan, instruction lesson plans, instructor qualification and experience, tracking and reporting certification percentages, and analyzing student appraisals and by assigning course monitors when necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the instruction. d. Publicity Referrals for information may be made to the Course Coordinator or to the Education Committee Chairperson. Publicity responsibility is coordinated by the Education Committee. e. Course Budgets The following Course fees are set as a guideline: COURSE LENGTH FEE
Instructor Fee is established by the Section
Education Committee, up to $50.00 per instruction hour. With the permission of the Course Coordinator, students who pay the required course fee may retake the course, or any part there-of, without additional fee at a future offering, within one year. Fees will be returned to any student dropping out of the course before the end of the third scheduled class. The Education Committee and/or the Course Coordinator maintains a copy of all documentation. The Education Committee will retain a record of the moneys submitted to the San Diego Section Treasurer. The money is deposited in a general fund defraying instructor fees and course expenses per the Education budget. At the end of the year the Education Committee shall allocate funds for the following year and submit the proposed allocations in the Education Committee's coming year budget to the Section Executive Committee. Examples of uses for the funds are: moneys to be used next year as buying books, instructors fees, awards, or other education use for the fund. All instructor bills must be submitted and initialed by the Education Committee Chairperson and/or the Course coordinator before submission to the Treasurer. If a sufficient number of students are not available to provide a break even results for a refresher course, the Education Committee will require the San Diego Section Executive Committee approval to conduct the course. Refresher Course Development A course outline is provided to students at the first class meeting, listing the instructor, topics of each class, and providing basic reading and problems assignments to be completed PRIOR to each class. Instructors may modify the assignment, in writing, one week prior to the scheduled class. Copies of the supplemental materials are generally provided a week in advance of scheduled class. Extra supplemental materials may be passed out at any time. a. Course Initiation The course outline and schedule are presented and
reviewed along with any rules and regulations of the Host company. b. Course Completion Those who attend classes, but do not obtain a passing grade on the final exam will be awarded a certificate of course completion. c. Course Evaluation VI. Textbooks a. CQE.

VII. Instructors VIII. Classroom Class sites are normally arranged within the central region of San Diego (roughly, within a ten mile radius of the junction of I-5 and I-805). Remote sites will also be considered, provided the Host Company agrees to support the class to extent necessary to make it justifiable (minimum enrollment, mileage reimbursement for instructors, etc.).
